The Cooperative Ministry is serving clients.
Below, please review our new procedures as we serve clients in new ways.
You can help us by donating a car, filling a food box or bag,
or making a financial donation.
HOW WE ARE NOW SERVING CLIENTS
Rent & Utility Assistance
Please visit www.coopmin.org/help, follow the directions carefully, and complete the online form.
If you do not have internet access or cannot complete an online application, please call (803) 799-3853.
If you receive a telephone appointment for crisis assistance consideration, you will be required to provide the following:

Proof of income. You must bring proof of income – pay stubs and/or documentation related to unemployment or other benefits.

Photo ID and Social Security card.

Copy of current lease or mortgage agreement, proving residence.

Copies of all household bills.
Clothing
If you need clothing, please complete the appropriate form, below, and electronically submit it. You will be contacted by e-mail with a day and time when you can pick up your clothing from our clothing bank. The clothing bank will be open Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

DONATIONS: We are accepting clothing bank donations, but items must be sealed inside a bag upon delivery to our clothing bank. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to Noon.

If you need food from one of our partnering food banks, click on that food bank's form, complete it accurately, and take it with you.
TUESDAYS
Saint John Baptist Church
3404 W. Beltline Blvd., Columbia, SC 29203.
The church limits the number of families to 30.
Hours of operation: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
WEDNESDAYS
Rosewood Church
3705 Moss Avenue, Columbia, SC 29205.
The church limits the number of families to 5.
Hours of operation: Wednesday, 4-6 p.m.
Emergency Food Pantry
If you are homeless or cannot get to a church providing bags of food, you may receive an emergency food box from The Cooperative Ministry. Please come to our front door and ring the doorbell. Someone will assist you.
Free Tax Preparation Assistance (VITA)
The 2021 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is available to taxpayers through Thursday, April 15 at The Cooperative Ministry office, 3821 W. Beltline Blvd., Columbia, SC 29204. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to Noon to receive tax information.
